What are the chances of removing the smell of smoke from antiques, leather furniture, etc?

We recently lost our home to fire, but it was contained to 3 rooms and we were able to remove many things. The smell of smoke is terrible on most of it. I have an antique sewing machine, among other antiques that have tremendous sentimental value but am clueless as how to remove the smell without causing more damage.
