Rare Books, how do i find there value?

Rare Books
BPZ asked:

I have two old rare books i picked up at a garage sale. One is (The English Citizen, Local Government) by M.D. Chalmers published in 1883. I found it on one website for 35$. But couldnt compare it as it couldnt find it any where else. I also have (The world’s greatest books vol 1) by Aurthur Mee, which has been reprinted alot over time but my copy was printed in 1910. Is there a good way to find the value of these books?

I got into old books a few months ago, and there is really no sure fire way to find the value of them, Try Amazon.com or Ebay. That’s the only way that I found that helps. Also, if you are ever near an Antiques Road Show event, take them there.

You will need to get them appraised by a dealer who specializes in books. There are many variables involved, which need to be taken into account.
